Welcome to the Music Program

Music is fun at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lakeland. It is through music that we advance the Unitarian Universalist principal of world community by learning music from many different cultures and incorporating them into our worship experience.

We encourage everyone who would like to sing, to “audition us” at one of our Sunday morning rehearsals. You do not have to know how to read music, as we are a living example of learning by doing.

We invite musicians from all genres to participate in our program. There are opportunities to share your talents, whether you sing, play an instrument, or just have ideas about how our music program can grow.

We rehearse on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. and Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 pm.

We also frequently host concerts at UUCL. The Friends of Joe Folk Music Series, featuring musicians from around the country, has made our Sanctuary its home for several years.  Check back on the website, in the newsletter, or on the bulletin board at church for information on these special concerts.
