Starting Point  and UU Community sessions
Veysel is holding  Starting Point  and UU Community sessions on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM in the social hall.  These sessions will familiarize you with Unitarian Universalism, with our congregation, and most importantly, with each other!  There will be discussions and the chance to ask questions.  Please email Veysel at veysel.dokur@uuclakeland.org to sign up or to ask questions. No registration is needed. Just show up. We look forward to getting to know you better!

The Adult Discussion Group welcomes first timers.


11:00 a.m. – Children’s Religious Exploration(exploración religiosa para niños)

Children of all ages are invited to join us! We start in the sanctuary with the adults, then before the sermon we head over to the children’s classroom.  We have discussion to build community and explore the ideas brought up in the worship service. We also have stories, games, arts and crafts and other activities to have fun and learn together.

When we think of generosity, we often think in terms of giving – what will we give of ourselves?  When we pass the plate at church or conduct a pledge drive, we often ask folks to be as generous as they can with their time, talent, and treasure.  These gifts are the manifestation of generosity.  But, I think there is more to generosity and what I am interested in exploring is generosity of spirit.  What do I mean by generosity of spirit? For me, it’s about mindset – nurturing thoughts, beliefs and attitudes that are generous.
