The Practice of Invitation: Tommie Award Since 1972, this congregation has given the Tommie Award to an individual or organization who best exemplifies “high ideals, humanitarian principles, and commitment to community.” This year, we carry on the tradition by giving it to Momma Ashley Rose/Jason DeShazo for their extraordinary work with the LGBTQ+ community and success in opening Polk County’s first LGBTQ+ center!
