Tentative Sunday Service (depending on the outcome/damages of the storm): The Practice of Deep Listening through Lectio Divina–Lectio Divina, or “divine reading,” is a Christian spiritual practice that incorporates silence, reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation. In Christianity, the practice is focused on Biblical Scripture, however this practice has been adapted by many others and applied to the reading of other sacred texts. This Sunday, we will approach this practice together. Sacred text will be available to you, or you can bring your own (as UUs, we have a wide variety of what we consider “sacred text”). We will share our insights with one another after we delve into this experience of “deep listening.”
