Building Belonging-September 14, 2025

Water Communion
Water Communion is a decades long tradition in UU churches. It symbolizes a re-gathering of our congregation after summer travels and downtime. It symbolizes our interdependence as we pour our water from different sources into a communal bowl and re-commit ourselves to doing the good work of Unitarian Universalism.
UUCL’s Water Communion is September 14th. Collect water from a source (faucet, pond, river, lake, ocean, etc.) that represents belonging to you. Some questions to consider: what does it say about the place you belong? How do you belong to this particular source? Why do you feel you belong?
ATTENTION SNOWBIRDS (and anyone else unable to attend, that includes Barbara and Don Wallace!): Send in a video to Heather (no longer than 2 minutes each, please) of yourselves, your water, and a message about belonging. We miss you all and want to make sure you are included in this important ritual!
