Rev. Lynne Garner will lead a service for Palm Sunday. Her sermon will be “Prince of Peace.”  According to some Eastern traditions, the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey indicates his intentions as a man of peace, whereas warriors would ride horses.  What meanings can we glean from Jesus as a peacemaker that may instruct us in these difficult times?  Is celebrating Jesus as a peacemaker valid even for those of us who do not identify as Christian?  What can we learn from the fate that awaited Jesus just a few days later about what it means to be a peacemaker, today and in any era?
