I’m taking a break from my usual ponderings this week to do some long term visioning for worship and programming. Although this will involve a couple days of independent and focused creative work, ultimately it will be a team effort. Not just the Worship Team, but the entire congregation!

In the very near future, I am going to want to do some listening sessions with all of you about the most memorable and meaningful worship moments that you’ve experienced (so I invite you to start remembering!).

On Friday, November 12, we are going to have a Brainstorming Party at a Friday Night Fire. I will be looking to all of you to help me create memorable and meaningful worship. I will bring themes and service synopses from my work this week and you will brainstorm visuals, music, symbols, readings, resources, sanctuary decor, sounds, smells, tastes, metaphors… you dream it, we’ll gather our imaginations, and throughout the year we will see our visions woven together and come to life. That’s my dream!
