August 2 –We All Preach Our Values: we will engage in a Sacred Reading practice focused on our shared UU Values.  Private reflection will be followed by an opportunity to share the pulpit and speak briefly (2-3 minutes) on the UU value most meaningful to you 
August 9 – Blessing of the Backpacks and Picnic Service: Bring your favorite picnic sides for an end of summer picnic with your UUCL family. We will send our students and teachers into the new school year with our blessings. Bring your backpack or anything that you would wear or carry with you to school each day.
August 16 – Community Sunday: In this service, we will share stories.  If you have a story to tell or a short skit that you want to share, please sign up with Melissa Marshall.  Suggested themes:  Disruption, Rebellion and Finding or Reclaiming Power 
August 23 – Heather returns to the pulpit!*
