Ponderings July 2026

As Summer shares her abundance, may we be reminded to let go of those pesky little thoughts that limit our ability to access an abundance of possibilities.
What is actually possible? Take some time to slow down and imagine this vast universe
in which you reside.
Carl Sagan was a master at offering us perspective: “We live on a hunk of rock and
metal that circles a humdrum star that is one of 400 billion other stars that make up the
Milky Way Galaxy which is one of billions of other galaxies which make up a universe
which may be one of a very large number, perhaps an infinite number, of other
universes. That is a perspective on human life and our culture that is well worth
pondering.”
Perhaps, then, the possibilities really are endless. Yet, we so readily confine ourselves
to limiting beliefs, societal norms and expectations, and the lies of white supremacy
culture. And too many of us suffer because of it. Too many don’t have access to
resources–resources of which there is an abundance, enough for everyone. Too many
of us have to hide who we really are because diversity is seen as a threat when in
reality, diversity is the key to life.
Summer in Florida is the perfect time to slow down and access abundance. As the heat
and humidity settle in, sit still and imagine your limiting beliefs burning away. You know,
the ones that say “you can’t do this because…” or “it’s not possible to have peace
because…”. And, once you’ve removed those boundaries, picture the life growing
outside of it. How do the wildflowers and pollinators, tree roots and mycelium,
earthworms and cicadas call to you about all the ways that you can be in this world?
Feel free to sit under the upcoming full moon and listen to the chorus of frogs and
crickets sing abundance into being. What song do you hear and how does it lead you
down your spiritual path? What is it asking you to do? Whatever it is, know that the
world desperately needs your song right now. The world needs your song to show up,
take up space, drown out the voices of conformity and control, to break the mold and
show us all new possibilities. The world needs your voice to join with other voices,
centered in Love, to reveal a path towards abundance.
Carl Sagan also imparted this wisdom to us: “She had studied the universe all her life,
but had overlooked its clearest message: For small creatures such as we the vastness
is bearable only through love.”
May you have a Summer full of Love and Abundance. See you in August! –Heather
