Hello Everyone!
I just want to give you a quick update on what’s going on with me: I pulled/strained/sprained a muscle in my lower back (I was only trying to put a lid on a bin! Turns out, it wasn’t even the right lid…isn’t that how things go sometimes?). I thought that I had been doing a great job taking care of myself lately–doing yoga, daily walks, eating healthy but…apparently the almost 10 miles I walked on Wednesday at Disney with my daughter (it was so much fun!) was an “over extension,” as my doctor suggested. OK, lesson learned. I’m not 35 anymore, as I was when I started working for this congregation with seemingly endless energy and a cooperative body. This is a reminder of how time and biology work together, of how entropy is what keeps life living, and not static and still (we can explore that more at a later time!).
I will recover from this, and the other health issues I find on my plate right now. But right now, I’m focused on creating a joyful Milk and Cookie Communion and being with you all again this Sunday!
Please reach out to me this week if you need anything. I’m still here!
