11:00 a.m. – Children’s Religious Exploration(exploración religiosa para niños)

Children of all ages are invited to join us! We start in the sanctuary with the adults, then before the sermon we head over to the children’s classroom.  We have discussion to build community and explore the ideas brought up in the worship service. We also have stories, games, arts and crafts and other activities to have fun and learn together.

Nurturing Gratitude: Respect, Boundaries, and Experiencing the Fullness of the World The rhetoric around “boundaries” has, and is, transforming culture. It is an important transformation in a society that endeavors to achieve true Pluralism, leaving behind ideologies of dominionism which promote control and ownership. Unitarian Universalism runs counter to the harmful teachings of dominionism and it is important for us to articulate and understand how our faith promotes respect and boundaries, and why–so that we may experience the fullness of the world, including one another and our diverse needs and expressions. Nikki McCarty will be joining Heather in the pulpit to offer us her reflections on this topic and encourage us to deepen our practice of Nurturing Gratitude. Additionally, we will take the time to honor the trans siblings we have lost this year in honor of the upcoming Trans Remembrance Day (Nov. 20).
