11:00 a.m. – Children’s Religious Exploration(exploración religiosa para niños)

Children of all ages are invited to join us! We start in the sanctuary with the adults, then before the sermon we head over to the children’s classroom.  We have discussion to build community and explore the ideas brought up in the worship service. We also have stories, games, arts and crafts and other activities to have fun and learn together.

Cultivating Compassion: Words are Tools in the Garden of Compassion As we honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we will examine the power and energy of the words we use. Harmful and violent rhetoric has become normal, destroying our society’s willingness to be compassionate towards other people. Immigrants are currently the targets of much of this violence, and valuable, sacred human lives are being torn apart. How can a practice of compassion, focused on the words we use, support transformation towards an ethic of care?
