Ponderings of our Spiritual Life Director- 8-17-22

Greetings, Beloveds!

There is much joy and excitement stirring in my soul as I step into this new church year with all of you! As you read through the newsletter you will notice some new opportunities coming your way, from leadership development to fun community events and worship. Planning out the arc of the year is invigorating. We (me and your leadership) put much thought into discerning where we need to lead the congregation and how we can best serve our mission: Love + Connection = Transformation. We strive to create a UUCL that is welcoming and affirming, healing, joyful, and truly transforms lives, including your spiritual life!

More than ever, we need each other and the strength of community. More than ever, we need to share of ourselves and cocreate a future with more love, more joy, more hope, more peace. How do you feel called to contribute to this shared ministry?

UUCL has 5 major ministry teams (committees): Lifespan Education, Stewardship (incl. buildings/grounds and finance), Worship and Programs, Social Justice, Community and Membership.

All committees are looking for volunteers, so think about the ways you’d like to contribute and let me or a board member know. We are happy to help you find the ways in which you can fit into the community and offer your time and talents! From singing, art, and poetry, to weeding, fixing, and organizing, to teaching, speaking, and snacks, to spreadsheets, technology, and social media, there’s something for everyone!

This is your UUCL, your spiritual community, and we are enriched when you add your unique gifts and ideas to it!
