Lent begins today! Why might that deserve an exclamation point, you might ask?

I did not practice Lent in the church I grew up in, so I don’t have any sort of grounding in a traditional Lenten practice. But, since becoming a Unitarian Universalist, I have found the #uulent picture a day practice to be one of my favorite reflective spiritual practices of the year. I enjoy not only raising my awareness of life through the word of the day but also seeing what you all have to share. Your perspectives and stories expand my perspectives and stories. As I recently heard one of my fellow seminarians preach about, braiding our stories together is holy work. Listening and understanding each other is how we achieve mutual liberation.
