What’s Happening this Sunday, August 11
Potluck Sunday
Please join us for potluck and conversation immediately after the service. Potluck is a time for the congregation to contribute to the meal. Bring a dish to share or contribute to the basket.
August Potluck Challenge: Try Something New! Keeping with this month’s theme of “Imagination”, I challenge you to make something you’ve never made before and bring it to our potluck this Sunday. What sort of delicious, satisfying dish can you conjure up?

11:00 a.m. – Children’s Religious Exploration
During the worship service, our children and youth will be invited to the Meditative Maker’s Corner in the sanctuary to work on an activity that is relevant to the day’s theme and helps to teach them about Unitarian Universalism- our Principles and our Sources- and encourages them to learn how to worship Please email Jenni Warren at [email protected] for more information.
11:00 a.m. – Worship Service
Love and Imagination: Blessing of the Backpacks- Join us for an all-ages worship service in which we honor our students, our teachers, and all life-long learners. Together, we will search for a spiritual grounding that will inspire us to keep imagining a better future in which love, imagination, and knowledge come together. All students and life-long learners are invited to bring their backpacks or other learning tool (e.g., notebook, pencil, book, laptop) for the blessing. Teachers are invited to bring something they’d like blessed as we wish them well for the school year (e.g., laptop, lesson plan binder, coffee mug!). Let’s imagine the world together!
