On Sunday, March 6, after the coffee hour, we will be discussing The Selma Awakening by Mark D. Morrison-Reed.
The Rev. Morrison-Reed grew up UU in Chicago and has been a UU minister for years, many of which he shared ministry with his wife. He currently teaches at Meadville Lombard Theological School. He has written many books on UU history and experience, including Black Pioneers in a White Denomination and Darkening the Doorways.

Rev. Lynne read this book last year in anticipation of the fiftieth anniversary of the Selma march. It offers insights into Unitarian Universalists and our struggles for and in social justice that may well inform our congregation as we strive to become more involved in justice work.
