We Need Volunteers

UUCL operates almost entirely on volunteer congregants who generously donate their time and efforts to keep things running. We appreciate everything they do.
Please take a moment to consider what goes on behind the scenes to assure you have a place to worship and enjoy the fellowship of friends.

Do you have time and talent to donate?

These are just some of the current Congregation Needs:
Caring Committee – Those members and friends interested in assisting members in special situations of need or celebration. These individuals make calls, send flowers and cards, communicate and coordinate information with the Administrator and Minister.

Social Justice – Peter Helwig has generously headed up the Social Justice Committee for several years. We need others to help out with events such as the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day parade

Hospitality – Tom and Marsha Bergen regularly donate their time and efforts on Sundays towards hospitality.

Special thanks to Barbara Wallace who volunteered to make coffee one Sunday a month

Hospitality – Special Events: There is a memorial planned on 3/29/15 for the Moore Family. Special thanks to Anne Kearton who offered her assistance.

Membership – A year-round volunteer is needed to help out in Membership.

Thanks to (our part-time resident) Barbara Wallace who has helped keep our rosters current and accurate for a long time. However, we need a year-round volunteer who can take her place and be there on Sundays to greet visitors, arrange to have new members sign the book, etc.

Our administrator, Margo, does administrative duties related to membership.  If you can donate your time to help your congregation, please contact the office at 863-646-3715 or email Margo at [email protected].
